• When everything is subject to money, then the scarcity of money makes everything scarce, including the basis of human life and happiness. Such is the life of the slave—one whose actions are compelled by threat to survival. Perhaps the deepest indication of our slavery is the monetization of time.

  • Is it too much to ask, to live in a world where our human gifts go toward the benefit of all? Where our daily activities contribute to the healing of the biosphere and the well-being of other people?

  • We are starving for spiritual nourishment. We are starving for a life that is personal, connected, and meaningful. By choice, that is where we will direct our energy. When we do so, community will arise anew because this spiritual nourishment can only come to us as a gift, as part of a web of gifts in which we participate as giver and receiver. Whether or not it rides the vehicle of something bought, it is irreducibly personal and unique.

  • "The present Convergence of crisis - in money, energy, education, health, soil, climate, politics, the environment and more - is a birth crisis, expelling us from an old world into a new."

  • When we must pay the true price for the depletion of nature’s gifts, materials will become more precious to us, and economic logic will reinforce, and not contradict, our heart’s desire to treat the world with reverence and, when we receive nature’s gifts, to use them well.

  • “The gift economy represents a shift from consumption to contribution, transaction to trust, scarcity to abundance and isolation to community.”

The American Dream betrayed even those who achieved it, lonely in their overtime careers and their McMansions, narcotized to the ongoing ruination of nature and culture but aching because of it, endlessly consuming and accumulating to quell the insistent voice: “I wasn’t put here on Earth to sell a product.” “I wasn’t put here on Earth to increase market share.” “I wasn’t put here on Earth to make numbers grow.”

We protest not only at our exclusion from the American Dream; we protest at its bleakness. If it cannot include everyone on Earth, every ecosystem and bioregion, every people and culture in its richness; if the wealth of one must be the debt of another; if it entails sweatshops and underclasses and fracking and all the rest of the ugliness our system has created, then we want none of it.

No one deserves to live in a world built upon the degradation of human beings, forests, waters, and the rest of our living planet. Speaking to our brethren on Wall Street: No one deserves to spend their lives playing with numbers while the world burns.”
Charles Eisenstein

WHERE THERE IS NO VISION, THERE IS NO HOPE
— George Washington Carver
WHERE THERE IS NO VISION, THE PEOPLE PERISH . . .
— Proverbs 29:18

A gift, is something you give with no expectation of a return from the person you are giving to. You pay it forward knowing that God, Creator, Universal Law will recognize your grace, and in return you shall have support.

So here are some questions you must ask yourself before you give a true gift:

AM I GIVING THIS GIFT WITH ZERO EXPECTATION?

Does giving this gift bring me joy?

Have I truly decided that I have zero attachments to this gift?

Do I give this trusting that my personal birthright is abundance, and that Universal Law will take care of me in my time of need?

This is simply an invitation to participate in an experiment. ⚜︎

we fully believe in a universal sacred energy exchange that taps into abundance, of many progressive forms, through the act of GIVING without expectation. Our aim is to create an active energetic and physical currency with the surrounding geographic - and sometimes digital - communities. The point is to bless both givers and receivers with valuable assets that they are both in need of and interested in. Especially now in the era of Covid, supply line issues, and inflation - we understand that needed assets stretch beyond just physical money.

All of us have something special and valuable to offer the world around us in the name of making a positive difference. We have seen first hand that when we give of ourselves in a true act of Service, then the universe always meets us in ways to validate that offering. And that’s why we keep doing it.
